well the SGS has thrown me into a bit of a spin, not sure on my quiver to take, trying to travel light and am thinkin of taking only my D/H board and 'try' to pimp it to suit the s.g.s. Just wondering how many boards you guys are taking and witch ones, is it possible to set the s.g.s to suit downhill boards or are you guys gunna be trying hard to set it so that its ridable on a traditional slalom setup. If you guys are willing to share yo secret b.t.b quiver or enlighten me on anything would be greatly appreciated. p.s. i know u guys havent seen the hill yet either, but u must know somthin..haha.

hey ben im taking 3 boards bts slalom deck with trackers,,spooky with randals and glyde with smokies..if i cant get it sorted with those then im up the creek..goodluck
taking my lowered board, top mount and a lighter slightly shorter top mount i whacked up on the weekend, randall 160 hangers and various baseplates plus smokies and kookies and big zigs in various colours, remember if your flying virgin they promote healthy lifestyles and you get an extra 5 kgs for sporting goods so 28 kgs under the plane and i usually take about another eight on with me.
i say , set a full downhill slalom course ridable on d/h boards...fast.....but thats just my opinion...would solve all my woes. yeh pete i think we only got 20 kg under and carryon.
yeh,you should sort somthin out with those leeso,i spose im just tryin to get out of takin 3 boards,
I have a pic of what Steve Daddow rode at Mt Stuart when he came up with us. If someone would be good enough to tell how the hell to get a pic from my computer to here, I'll put it up.
would have been a kebbek jim z flushcut thingy or a evo, i think ben is more curious on the sgs side of things
Because of the nature of Mt Stuart, Downhill boards are being allowed to run the SGS. The organisers have asked for Full Leathers and Full Face Helmets to be worn, with the the division "Open", as far as Tech Inspection is concerned. "Open" means any board size is acceptable, so whatever you are comfortable with. The only reason I mentioned Steve's setup was because of the "Downhill" boards being allowed. I hope thats of some help guys.
thanx ,it is helpful, tells me the sgs is also goin to be gnarly!

I reckon for the SGS a downhill board should work OK as long as the trucks are loose and turny. A topmount probably makes more sense than a lowered deck, but lowered decks can be "unlowered" with risers.

I don't know what I'm gonna use for the SGS. I'm bringing a slalom board (with Radikals and Splitfire, both tuned for less turn), and my drop-through Glyde downhill board. I'll make the decision on which one to ride after I've seen the hill.

Thanks Bugs. I hope this worked ok.
Picture is a little deceptive, but the road is butter smooth.
sakamoto, our pet scorpion died a while back do you get the big fellas up there?
