amateur junior downhill longboarder , got a bmx/ skateboarding helmet, is this adequate??????

That will be fine. Better that its a BMX than a skateboarding helmet

No such thing as a DH one, there's the vert/pool ones though.

anything is alway better than nothing i use a dh mtb full face if you feel comfortable then use it it's just personal choice.
But i would always recommended a full face.

Isn't mtb full face helmets dh skating's safest?
