bought an epipen.

and before you say it...i know i know...i didn't NEED it... i just WANTED it.

so...i'm thinking i'll try my kooks on it...and i'll have to get some more randals....gee...what a shame....

has anyone ridden an epipen or CLB or a double drop (drop mounted dropped platform) eg: d'seed, JimZ, etc...what do we think?

talk to leafoot. he loves his CLB.
did you buy it from that aussie guy on silverfish?
I have a dseed and..its... amazing

I love it. It feels alot better than a drop-through as doesn't have as much of a 'swinging' turn as a dropped deck. The small drop it does have means that you still have something to rest your back foot against and probably makes it a little more drifty than a drop-through.

length 1045mm/41"
wheelbase 815mm/32"
platform 660mm/26"
platform front width 245mm/ 9 5/8"
platform tail width 215mm/ 8 1/2"
flat angular cave flat spot 150mm/6"
concave depth 12.5mm/1/2" (not sure on this might be a bit more)
drop 25mm/1"
universal drop thru takes bears, force and randal(what i own) i assume it'll take crails and holeys.

i'm now trying to decide whether or not to run it on my kooks....or get some randals.....i guess i'll just try both and see....
kookys will be too low for double drop boards...

i tired smokies on the demonseed and they were too low it bottomed out when turning hard, kookys are just as low as smokies...
We just got all the new randal downhill baseplates in - angles angles angles - 28 degree, 35 degree, 50 degree, 60 degree and 42 degree. Plus 3 inch zinc kingpins for big bushings.
They be up on the hopkin racing website soon

So you can wedge or de-wedge randals on dropped boards
or topmount the trucks...?
i ridden this with force, grizzlies and randal. id go with randals it suits the board. force eh im not sold on forces anyway and grizzly lean too much and i feel they will bottom out.

i just realised i have a set of R2's in the box that just need 2 new kingpins....i'm such a moron.

but i'm allowed to be, its my birthday.

so, epipen on R2's....i'm wondering if the 50* in the rear will be too much...35* perhaps...

so the:
- evo will be getting (1) 10* riser in the front, riser(no wedge) tail.
- DHR will get 77mm 88a strikers and stay on the C2's and 1" risers
- epipen will get 180 R2's all round with 76 flys...but may hate to top mount it.
-CPR will stay the same.
- mal is getting the bennet/rtx setup.
-mal gear is going on the slalom board

any suggestions? will i need bigger wheels for the pipen? or top'd with 76's it'll be fine?

thanks guys.
I've got a 42° sitting there doing nothing...

looks like davey had it on strikers, so your flys should work.
gunna be a sick setup.
damn i hope so....

like i said: 2 k/pins and some 42* plates...some new bolts....then i'm set!!!
yhe 76's will be higher than an evo.

dave
DD'd on 76's its still going to be low....nicely.
