Just the other night, I saw an excellent Globe complete in the prize pool.
They now make a serious drop deck, with trucks and wheels that "look the goods" for speed and sliding, and it is fair to say that this is waaaaay beyond the level of esplanade cruiser that we have seen before!   I think it might have come from Noel's development laboratory.

Any kid that shows up on a standard plastic board with a helmet can run.
Those under 15 will need a responsible adult to attend and sign the indemnity form.

Let's not suck the fun out of this with hair splitting rules.

Hi Guys, if I were to talk any kids into a long drive to town, I think a definition of what is a "Penny", is a "Nickel" ok? A Penny is 23" X 6" and a Nickel is 27" X 7.5" so there is a big advantage. I think this is fair question.

They were called Banana boards and it was the first skateboard i rode as a kid.I loved it.

 Maybe a "Plastic Fantastic" race could deal with the branding issue in the future. Either way think its great to engage the kids and get em into the sport. These plastic fantastics are as cheap as $20 in Kmart, granted they probley have plastic bearings as well, but who cares ...its one less kid on a scooter. We've already lost one generation to the scurge of the scooter, let us never forget the great toll it has taken on skate parks all over Australia.

You guys really need to drop a Bex and have a good lie down!

It is a slalom race for kids on plastic skateboards, which are now becomming known generically as Penny's. Racers need to be under 15 years of age.

Any kid that shows up on a standard plastic board with a helmet can run.

And anyone who saw the penny class at Bulleen will know that this is a great addition for any event, and it really spreads the stoke to our little brothers and sisters, and their parents.

If you have any nieces or nephews, tell em!

Of course any kid that shows up on a plastic board with Gog's and Cults on it can expect to be booked into the open slalom race also!
(Fitz, don't bother, we already know how old you are!)

We have some very nice prizes from Penny!

Dan has a good point. I'm not keen on a race limited to a single brand - it seems like an ad more than anything and you'd expect Penny to pay for it.

Penny race. What is a Penny? It must be Penny Brand? What about Globe? Wheels and truck upgrades? Must be PU? Mini cruzers? Size?
