Event Description

This Saturday a few of us are having a casual ride day at Lansdowne bike track, Skateboard, luge, buttboard, you name it. All are welcome to come. The hill is fun and great for all levels of experience and there will be plenty of spare gear so if you don't have any come along. I'm sure there will be a bit of racing invilved.
Might get a BBQ happening too.

While you were on tour I rode Keirra with the Sydney Crew even on Standup(not too good though) For years I've been telling people bout these roads, I don't push for people to come though, if they really wanna ride they'll do the chasing cause I know I had to stay on peoples cases just to find these places. If you push for dudes to ride hills when they're not really keen they end up getting hurt. thats why I wait till they approach me. You also know that your riding with people that are passionate about it not just guys that will ride a few times and then never hear from them again. While I started out riding skateboard, I now mainly ride luge and classic. We crave steeper faster hills, and alot of the times these hills don't suit standup. SMR for example is one of the best roads in my opinion. however too rough at the bottom for standup with smaller wheels. Keirra is unreal standup but the flats are too long inbetween corners for luge. I'm sure that now the standard of standup is way up there more riders have the ability to tackle the bigger hills and maybe even SMR. But what is there for beginers, while there are hundreds of people jumping on the skateboard and really lifting the game I also wanna help out those who might be interested in trying classic or luge cause I know there was no info or anyone to ride with when I started. It is what I enjoy the most and i'd like to see more riders in all disciplines all sharing hills and helping each other out.

Keirra, Good suggestion Or SMR or Huntley Or Bong Bong or Kangaroo Valley or Hawkes or pie in the sky or megalong valley or cox's river rd or Browns Gap or Leighton place or waterfall or sheehys creek or Allambie rd or Galston Gorge or Apollo.... We have already ridden them, countless times and probably always will however we are riding here for fun just to get together and catch up. We have a few new guys who wanna ride and this is a good place to take them. If I recall you were there last year too Jacko for a few hours, you had your fun. Maybe some other guys might enjoy it this year. In the past i've invited guys to SMR or Bong Bong or Huntley to ride but they don't come, either it's to far, To rough or to steep for them but when it is close, smooth and at a slope that suits all levels they come.

I was thinking of having the black 'Snake challenge' (Daz the cowboy named the track Black Snack after we nearly hit a Black snake on it one day)I have a hand made buttboard up for grabs. Challenge any rider to a head to head or a Mass race in any discipline. Who ever wins, wins the board..... but if they then get challenged and are defeated the board gets handed to the winner. at the end of the day who ever holds the board keeps it! just like a Boxing title or belt. there may be other prizes up for grabs.
