Yeah Bugs, it was updated I guess as I had several people saying it looked really bad this morning.
Forecast indicates the bad weather is mostly on Friday, and will clear by the middle of Saturday. So I think we'll get it done.
Ominous for Saturday to be sure, if it does rain hopefully it drys out by Sunday.
30-40km winds on Saturday could be interesting...
Yeah the weather forecast is a bit ominous, never mind the -2, it's the rain which worries me. We will still race on Saturday unless it is just too much rain, wet slalom has been done before with no probs, but ditches and rain tend not to work. Looking for a possible plan b... Statesman car park freestyle comp? :)
4 Boards set up , One is a retro Bugs, hope the weather man gets it wrong -2 for Sunday morning.
The course is going to be similar to past years, utilising Stromlo's perfect slope and smooth surface, we'll have some tight bits, some loose bits, at least one offset. I think we'll see the return of the old gimme which is loved and loathed, and always provides some excitement, screaming at you "PAY ATTENTION OR LOSE" :D
Get your entries in, missing it would almost be UN-ASRA-LIAN :D
Picked up some boxes of schwagg for the mega raffle today thanks to http://www.goliathskate.com/
Not long now!
Dave is right re the times, from memory we kicked off practice from 10ish last year on both days and started racing about 11.
