breaking the public secret, this will be my first of the year riding classic luge with massive thanks to Crea8ive Sk8, Shark leathers, the stopping power of Phill C and Hank's Place Australia

A very generous Cre8ive Sk8, is now a sponsor of the Bomb. Thanx to Ado, for his support!

The timing is being handled  by the crew that does the World Cup Ski Racing. Dual formats are common place in ski racing, and the "electric eyes" are hooked to the computors to give much the same data. it also saves $4,500 to go back to bales, of which there is 200. The transponders are valued at $85,000 without the tech dudes and computors. Bomb the Snowies is me and a small band of volunteers, working with your entry fees and ,the genorous donations of time and facilities (like the Rural fire service, doing first aid. Lions Club doing bbq, local youth groups printing the signs) from the local community. We might not be big money, but you can Bank on a BIG event!

i was looking forward to running timing with Transponders! im over the usual tape-switch one-at-a-time qualify thing... get the transponders going man, keep dudes running and best time at the end of qualify wins time trial then seed the brackets... way more interesting!

yo shannon the track is a combination of bends and straights with a steep, gnar high speed corner near the finish, you'll need every trick in your arsenal. i have run the course on my luge, stand ups will hit 80kph to 90kph. braking is up to you! but its not so much a slide hill, as, what kind of tuck you have type of hill.

This track, is it a straight run you can do with nothing more then air breaking, etc, etc or is there a need for high speed footbreaking and slides?

Thanks.

The Race Crew at Thredbo are taking over the timing. The transponders can wait till next year, and the brothers can put their $50 deposit into  petrol to get here. Entry is now $100 (refunds to those who have already paid are on their way now). So for $100 the riders get; 2 days racing on a public road (first time since Xgames 1998), an event t shirt, transport to and from Berridale to the track and party, divisional prizes , insurance, spectators (lots of spectators) and most of all, a rad weekend full of the good karma!
