ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

OK folks, we're back after just a three-day break. The ASRA team has landed in Bathurst, and despite advance warnings of how cold it is we've still been surprised - it's brutally cold. My first task here was to buy some fingerless gloves and a very attractive hat:

Once suitably warmed we got settled into our luxury digs before heading out for some twilight mini-ramp action at the festival site. It's a 6' ramp, so more of a maxi-mini really, and it took its toll with Trav and Haggy taking some hard slams.

A blurry Trav heads for the coping, while Haggy, Blackwood, Pete and the Van of Love look on

Yes, it was cold up there. Bring your woolies. See you tomorrow. Rider check-in starts at midday at the Flannery Skillset Centre.

It's been slow at rider check-in...until now. The queue is out the door.

Keira winner Marissa Nunez hadn't pre-registered and she just rolled in and used her Keira winnings to pay for her Newton's entry fee. Hopefully for her she makes it back on Sunday.

Dodgy looking dude blackwood haha

Because of calls through the day concerning rego and treatments can we just confirm that due to the $2000 increase in fees for us to attend this year Hanks Place Australia will NOT be at Newtons, all queries regarding physio etc please contact ASRA as we do not know what has been put in place, ride safe H

thanks guys i was thinking it would be great to have a vid feed when i was keeping track on keira..great news a live feed from newtons

where can you get ASRA merchandise if your not going to bathurst

Contact Blackwood for merch.

Skillset are being great hosts for us here. They've let us use their brand new building for rider check-in, and now they're putting on live music and a free sausage sizzle. Nice!

thanks

Rider check-in has checked out. The Rider Meeting has been met. See you tomorrow.

Beautiful sunny day on top of the mountain today, and we're just waiting for practice to get underway. All systems are just about go. One issue - we were meant to have human traffic controllers waiting at the bottom of the track to stop cars, but apparently we won't have humans, just a physical barrier. Hopefully that physical barrier will be enough to stop rampaging car drivers.

Morning in Mt. Panorama

so when is the live stream going live?

10am...in theory.

rad, I'm just sitting at work and would rather watch skating then do work is all.
