Jacko came 5th!! Which means he won the consolation final.

Robdog popped his shoulder but he is ok.

Full Hopkin Team race report tomorrow.

Jacko's race wrap up is online. It's an awesome write up, he gives a great insight into the finals racing

Yeah Jacko, nice writeup. One question: it sounds like you were going for the win in the semi, which made you crash, instead of settling for 2nd and a guaranteed spot in the final? Or were you worried that if you didn't pass Dalua in the semi, somebody would draft you and steal 2nd?

cool, good writeup Jacko.

nice to see robdog in the mix, unlucky he popped his shoulder.  heal up dude!  say hello to maga ;-)

I was talking to Yatesy tonight and we were wondering the same thing. Why go the pass for 1st when all you need is second. Maybe it was a practice pass for Teutonia :-)

Yeah, he thought Dalua's foot brake would be much slower than his slide by the looks of it.

I think two of them are in the wrong spot. 2nd and 3rd need to switchhh.
Pretty intense.

Indeed it was the footbreak that mixed things up. I wanted to enter the corner first and rally with him down to make it through. When I couldn't get passed I allowed him to take the lead and backed off to setup. However I did not know how heavy he was going to break, right at the last minute he stepped it into overdrive and nearly came to a stop. Smart move to take a clean line but I did not Allow enough space for that. So instead of crashing right into him like some might I had to make moves. But it didn't work...

Knowing how your competitors race is a key element to success in this sport
