Everybody is motivated by money, we do live in a capitalist society after all. This is an interesting discussion, albeit a bit off topic. Where do you draw the line between supporting Australian gear (in this case owned, not made (i think anyway, correct me if i'm wrong)), or supporting overseas companies who DO support events and the community... but your still sending your dollars overseas. its a tough one for sure.

I disagree. The black 83a are actually really good. Great for sliding.

And about your comment that all Vault products are bad, thats untrue. I've just sold my Vault Dropthrough because im getting an Evo. And to tell you the truth, the Vault was a very good freeride board. It did everything it was meant to do.

don't buy vault. their stuff is cheap for a reason and most people here will tell you the same.

i know this thread died a while ago but im resurrecting it. i completely agree with leigh on everything hes said. Vault are SHIT! i owned a 40" drop-through it lasted all of 6 months before it snapped in half half way down a hill. The board was practically made of chip board! the plys were not glued together evenly there were air pockets even some parts that hadn't been glued at all. Allthough the 78a wheels do make a nice thrashing about set and they do last a while bit chattery though (ah well thats cheap poor quality products for ya). Anyway if you want a longboard save some cash go to a real skate shop and get a real board thats the base line THE END.

The 78a wheels were never intended to be used for sliding so it's not the most valid criticism....

These, on the other hand, are the sickness when it comes to getting sideways:

Well either way, you shouldnt be supporting a shop/brand whatever, who doesnt do barely anything for the scene.
And to tuure pinapple, you say wrongboarders half the time skate loadeds and why dont we hate on loadeds? Because loaded sponsors events, and makes quality boards and wheels. Anyone who actually is saying that vault boards are good, you probably havent ridden any good boards and if you have, you havent taken them down a hill thats gonna make any difference. Im sure vault might make some alright wheels but ive ridden there boards and they are shit

You're a retard dude, that's not loadeds fault that people ride around without helmets, loaded promote safety and good riding, not hipsters without helmets. You can't assume that those people are part of the scene and don't wear helmets because of loaded

I cbf reading my comments. Most things I said here would prob be quite ignorant and grom like. Mainly due to the fact I was told facts rather then finding them out for myself.

Whether or not Im going back on what I have said many months ago, Loaded are a good brand and shoudl not be hated. The problem with loaded is, their main customers (i see anyway) ride around without helmets and never learn the basics, they are pretty much hipsters who want to look cool. Not hating on people who actually skate, but when I see a kid with a dervish, I cant help but sigh.

Jesus Christ, the man asked if Vaults would be good for his freeriding deck.
This is ridiculous.

btw. Yes ;)

i like coconuts

^^^ what he said.

like a mate of mine who just spent $500+ on a rayne demonseed and all he does is use it as a cruiser and i quote "I dont like going down hills its to scary i like cruisin around town and this deck looked good for that" no point telling what the board was designed for coz he doest wear gloves or a helmet...or shoes
