Just wondering if anyone has heard, seen or riden one of these devices?

It looks pretty gnarly from the few vids that I've seen, fun but way hectic!! Apparently snowboarding wihtout the snow?

Check it out.

Careful Beet, don't go rilin' up that "good ol boy".

Even though the USA lost the AAA rating, Obama just got the extension of credit in the nick of time, so Carter might just still be able Lease an old C130 from Haliburton, on his Amex, to come down here and kick some butt.

God knows we don't want the kiddies hearing any more bad language!

Hahahahahahah. Might wanna change that avatar pic before making such implausible claims..

i can slide better than that without a centre wheel...
I dont want to get petty, but "technically" a Freebord doesn't slew by definition. The definition say that the slide is violent or uncontrollable... The slide is very controlled.

Niiiiiice language for your first post.

While we are on the subject of language.....

Because of the centre (sorry US translation CENTER) "castor" wheels, I am pretty sure that "technically" a Freebord would slew sideways better than it would slide.

So technically he could possibly be correct in saying that he can slide better without the castors, because that is not really slewing...is it.

That hurt my brain, so I'm off to have a good lie down.

The rest of you can now resume splitting hairs, or running the planet, or whatever.....

Changing the word slide to slew doesn't make his claim any less ridiculous.

And I'm not trying to say he doesn't shred on a longboard, they're just two dissimilar things. It's comparable to a surfer saying that he can do bigger airs on a wave, without any ramp, than a snowboarder can do off a giant kicker.

Reality begs to differ.

Freddie, it still felt like a slew to me, and the experience taught me that anyone who can ride a freebord properly is entitled to be very happy with themselves.

Billy, changing the word slide to slew did however change the tone of this thread.

Using foul language to turn a fairly civil exchange of views, over how to have fun, into a personal attack is a bit lame.

So there ya go, nice job splitting hairs lads, and no offensive language needed what so ever.

Looks like you are just the guys to explain the manners thing to Carter!

I think its time to go and have a skate!

trololololol

At the end of the day I love skating and freebording, and short-board surfing, and loggging, and snowboarding, and pretty much any other 'sport' I can find that involves standing side-on on a moving board.

What I don't love is when some longboarders' act like freebording's an inferior sport (and vice versa), or a gimmick, or easy, simply because they don't understand it, or it was too hard for them (dw I'm not referring to you).

I'm sure you guys get a lot of regular skaters ragging on you's in the same way and it's just stupid.

Mutual respect all the way, for the love of gnarly hills.

yeah, one of the joys of freebording is to watch skateheads slewing all over the shop when they try it out for the first time. usually something along the lines of, 'OK, here we go, I'll just push off and.. WHAT THE FUCK?! HELP! MUMMY!!! Why am I slewing?!'

and to continue the hair-splitting, it wasn't a freeborder who first used foul language in this thread. i don't know who this rapscallion Carter is, but he can't be a freeborder cos we don't fucking swear. must've been a hacker.

Owen,

Thanks ever so much for reminding me of that!

I hope the nervous tick settles settles down in less than a week this time!

hahahahahah this is true, but you forgot the conclusion that follows, "It must be the board's fault!"
