IGSA doesn't need to tweet excuses they just need to put a direct link to the Hopkin blog

Bow's on tour, they probably found an awesome hill to freeride and thought, stuff qual Day One lets freeride instead!!

Day Two results are in.

Plus Bow and Lach turn up. Lach out - Bow wins repecharge

McKirdy Qualified 11th BB  16th Luge

Race day Results are in and its not pretty

Trav when to a fight and IGSA race broke out!

The way this shits going it looks like IGSA might need to bring in a disciplinary committee. At the bare minimum maybe they should require a couple sets of 18 ounce gloves and some sumo suits to be at each track to avoid the bare knuckle fights

I'd pay money to see Martin and G-Mac in sumo suits fighting it out. Maybe a heavy weight division - Striker vs Dalua.

Good match up would be Mischo vs Jacko. I reckn Jacko would try and get low and knock him off his feet, finish him off with a big flying tummy slam.

We should do it anyway at Newtons 2012

Insul 2011 - was it the weekend the downhill family died?

Was a bad call against Bek, she should never have been DQ'd. Dasha blew her line, and when her wheels dipped into the little gutter her back wheels slid out, leaving Bek nowhere to go, except hit Dasha. Go frame by frame, from the 3rd to 6th second.

I have to agree with you Sakamoto, when two skaters are that close, Dasha shutting the gate was probably a bit optimistic. She would have been better to leave it open a bit but not enough to get through safely.

Taking an outside line to inside on a corner is ok when you are out in front like Katie but in traffic is asking for trouble.

It looks like Dasha is more upset that Kristina steals 2nd! What a great line Kristina takes at the end. Would have been interesting finish if Dasha or Rebekka took that race line at the end instead of cutting the corner.

Looks like those haybales on the last corner have see a bit of use that weekend. Probably just a big haystack at the end of the day!

sorry mate but u dont know what your talking about. Dasha was in front, there is only one line through that corner. try to dive inside there you WILL cause a crash... which is what happened. i hate to say it but your pretty wrong to make the call on that. the rider behind MUST know that diving inside so late will cause a crash. the only passing opportunities on that corner are BEFORE you enter the corner, or exit speed if someone scrubs out.

If your racing, and someone is trying to catch you, leave no room for them to pass. thats racing... If someone behind you tries to take a line thats not there, they fuck up. its been happening so much lately its not funny, which is why there is so much bitching and arguing at races. people just dont know how to handle shit properly with good etiquette. the most important part of racing is knowing when you are actually able to make passes, and utilise those moments. if you miss your opportunity, you lose. You cant just try take a line that doesnt exist for the sake of getting in front, thats how people crash, or even get hurt

Jacko, you're 100% right on what you've said about lines, ettiquete, etc....I couldn't agree more. You can't go through, or force a hole, if it doesn't exist. Again you're right on the point that the rider in front has the line, and the trailing rider/s have the responsibility to NOT hit the lead rider, or a DQ will ensue.

The only aspect on this particular crash was that when Dasha set her line, she was too tight, her weight was forward so that when her wheel hit the paved surface her back wheels slid out.

I also agree, if Bek was back, even 6 inches, this discussion wouldn't of happened, as Dasha's actions would of been more obvious.

Was just an observation.
