Its about brain injuries involved in extreme sports, mainly due to lack of helmets.
If you think wearing a helmet isnt cool or your dont think you 'need one' then please look at this site and then tell me what you think...

I'm just starting out and was gonna skimp and just get a cheaper vert style helmet but after seeing those pics of what can still happen to your melon while wearing one, I'm definitely investing in a full face

After a big crash you would pay every cent in your bank acc to avoid the pain of having to come back from a heavy crash
Last weekend we had 5 helmets written off at BtB. That would have been 5 very bad head injuries and that was in 1 weekend of free riding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's an old saying,
$2 helmet for a $2 head.........What's your head worth to you?
there are so many times i have come off and smashed the back of my head or slid on my head really hard. basically that one helmet saved my life each time. bit of dizzyness but apart from that i was fine.
I was free riding last weekend and while contemplating a bike rider passed a point of balance, the board came to a stop like i'd hit a rock and over i went. I flopped like i was doing 'the worm'. The only thing that saved my lower jaw and teeth was that i was still looking up at the bike, and my jaw hit dead flat on the ground. I hit so hard my feet went up over my head, and i had to sit down for 10 minutes for the adrenalin to stop pumping.

Not just helmets i think, I've got an old MX helmet that i use for downhill, this week i'm scoping a lighter MTB helmet for the freeriding... more gear @#$%.... ahhh I love it.

Not the nicest post I have ever put up but well worth a watch. I know I have been guilty of not wearing helmets in the past and although I try to most of the time I will make sure I do from now on. No helmet, no skating.

Ps. For those who dont know T.B.I stands for Traumatic Brain Injury.
