Biggest bunch of tools
slo-mo stink bug for satan
At least they were wearing helmets

While it will help the exposure of longboarding that video was a terrible representation of what majority of longboarding is actually like.

Painful moments:

"What is the difference between longboarding and skateboarding?"

"Longboarding is more for cruising and hanging ten...yeah."

"bearings give you majority of the spin"

fukin kooks!

What the fuck!!! Who are those Douche bags?!? What the fuck!!!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha Wack.
Man I half smiled and cringed through that whole thing. Think I might head down to my local netball courts and 'hang ten' haha.

On the contrary, as a former industry employee, I can say with some certainty that that video is a pretty accurate representation of what the majority of 'longboarding' is actually like.

Downhill makes up a tiny portion of global logboard sales, TINY. some people that buy longboards are gonna be the same as these totally wild fellas. Most people that buy longboards wont even get so far advanced as these dudes...

Nasty as it was, this peice of coverage could be viewed as a good thing. With all the trouble Dhers have in SA and elsewhere, this film is exactly the sort of thing that will take the heat away from the Speedboarders. Mums dads councillors and police are not going to wage a crusade against a bunch of shaka brah flat land cruisers are they?

Its worth noting the peice is intended for an audience of approximately 7 to 12 years old, and probably includes parents as part of its demographic. I would rather parents see that as a representation of longboarding, that footage of us lot banging donw hills at 80+. Personally I dont care about getting other people to think that longboarding is cool, but I do care about being able to do it without being hassled by the police/authorities etc.

So the 'douchebags' are actually doing us a favour. Especially in Adelaide, where the sheer number of DH longboarders has blown it into a problem. Use the stinkbugging cruisers to your advantage.
