Ashgrove main roads are awesome, unfortunately, most can only be done at the dead of night or on easter Sunday when there are no cars.
^^^ i know. i found some runs in ennogger off banks streeet. some if you try hard you can hit like 50, there pretty long and theres  nice sliding hills near them too
I did one road on sunday that was easily 60km, I wasn't going all out and still leaving the cars far behind me!
got to go for a skate sometime! where do all youse live?

Tim

Its fucking nuts, i was doing it today got honked at by numerous p platers.

Worst timing :(

^nice

do you guys ever get honked when your like skating pretty much on the gutter?

Yeah, I left the gutter method behind after too many near misses and idiots coming as close as they can to scare me.

I have had people try and punch me off my bike and drive directly at me on the wrong side of the road.  Just a couple of things to watch for.

If you are skating a busy hill, learn the traffic patterns and if you can't go as fast or faster than the posted speed limit, it's probably not that great an idea.  Also, if you are going fast, take the middle of the lane.  Don't care what the cars behind you think, it's your life that might be on the line if they do something stupid, don't let them have the chance.  Both for bike and skateboards.

Tom,

Plenty of long technical areas on southside.  Try suburbs like eight mile plains, rochedale south, springwood, seven hills, daisy hill. Mt cotton, yatala, pimpama, waterford west.  You have to be prepared to drive around and do the hard yards to be rewarded.  It also generally the only way you're going to find out what the road surface and traffic levels will be like.

I'll post up some street names and their suburbs tonight during my break at work. Suburbs like eight mile plains, rochedale south, daisy hill, springwood, seven hills have no rail access in the area so if you're unlicensed then you'll need to beg for a lift or endure the painfull process of the public bus network.

Southsde rules ya fools... hitting up g5 lazy in about 20
