Fibreglass/composites suppliers - e.g. FGI

"H" foam is what you need....FGI can supply it.

H80 would be the softest you need, but you would probably save yourself some greif by going harder, say H120 to H180. If you are wanting to go lightweight, and have the ability to do it, have a look at Nomex. Depends on how you are going to shape the deck, as well as how your going to glass it, "bag" it or free glass it. Also the type of glass will come into play.

im using wood now...

coz i have slabs that are the right size. and they would work also

or cant you do that

Definately, you can use wood, or metal, any number of material types for a mould. I only spoke about foam as it was what you were looking for as a material.
