its a great carving board. the flex feels nice under feet when pumping around town, makes it nice and nimble. given that it also means the deck is thinner, which means its lighter, which means its easier to kick the tail out into slides. The narrower platform also allows you to lock your heel/toes against the side of the rail to get more side-ways push in your slides. Ive got little fat-frees on mine just to make it a bit easier to slide at a slower speed for the general city slashing. in no way would you put DH and Carbonite in the same sentence but it doesnt mean that you cant carve and slash up big fast hills on it (i just know that by that very kooky term 'DH' you mean trying to go super fast and tuck on it)
