Fat pigeon nsf, freeride or a custom topmount :)
Trucks and wheels second hand will give you around your budget.
Dont buy overseas because shipping might put you over
probably good for getting to the shops and back but i wouldn't go down a real hill on them. your best bet is to join the melbourne sessions group and meet up with the crew down there and get your hands on the actual boards and try them out. looking at pics and reviews on the net is nowhere near as helpful as having a test ride on one of their boards and seeing how wide or heavy they are, which will be a big factor at your age. otherwise ring hopkin and tell them what you want to use the board for and your budget and they should sort you out.

hey man I'v got a bustin maestro and is a cool little board I just use it to get to mates places, school and down to the shops ect. but be aware its not a DH deck and its not much of a free ride deck.

Its really more of a commuter, and for that it is perfect. really easy to push, quite flexy so its nice to pump, its small (compared to most longbaords) so you can carry it around with out much hassle. its got a lot of pop too so its fun for early grabs. can still do standies and freeride but more for city seshs wouldent want to take it up to really high speeds. there are much better decks out there for full on freeriding.

If you want to carve, cross-step, shuvit and slide it would be pretty much perfect. I was very close to buying one but went with a downhill deck. As everyone says, if you want to do decent speeds, get a DH/freeride deck. If you're just happy to cruise, this would be a top board.

I've been getting my decks from pulse cheap prices shippings only 15 bucks cause its NZ and they custom make boards so you can get the best board possible for you getting my 3rd in the mail next week :D
Ive got a Maestro. Its pretty cool. No good for any decent freeride or downhill but it is a beast at pushing and city riding. I ride mine to school everyday.
