Hey guys just a quick question. I got my evo with 35 and 50* randals, a set of super reds, a set of lime and a set of yellow big zigs for christmas. I wan't to use it to get into a bit of downhill. I have taken it up to about 30 in Eugowra but that is it rofl

Any ideas for entry level sports around Canberra to work my way up?  Btw I'm 13 so yeah. Ive been shortboarding for a few years. Thanks guys :)

Btw the 4 prez in the pic are old. That was because the big zigs turned up late :(

where in canberra do you live, how do you have the angles set up? as in which is on the front?

do you have gloves knee pads and all that jazz?

best place to learn is the back of Omalley, we will organize a ride there soon, I am thinking saturday and sunday. yes both days, I have all saturday off and finish work at 4 so lets get something going.

all the canberra guys will be happy to teach you as long as you have a the safety gear.

Owen

Hi thanks for the intel :) I have a 35 plate in the front and a 50 in the back. I am going to get a kingpin for the back so i can run barrels all around. I am using homemade gloves and a helmet for now. I am going to buy some new gloves and pads very soon because I skinned both knees and elbows and learnt how important they are :) I will be sure to get on to you guys as soon as I get all of the gear I need. Parents won't like me skating with skinned knees and elbows with out them... I live in narrabundah ty
rad, A+ has good protective gear, get your parents into it, dads buy more gear for you if they do it as well.

DADS RULE

See you tomrrow everyone

Yeah they do rule haha My dad basically buys everything for me except stuff like bearings and bushings >:) He has spent soo much money at hopkin on his doubletap haha Oh btw, what is A+ exactly? Grom ftw a very new grom haha
a+ is in braddon. but go to the tip shop, thats where the bargin pads are!

$6 is too much to pay for pads Henry you got ripped off. Keen for sunday, but will be in melbourne on saturday.

And A+ = adrenalin+ btw

Ah ok guys thanks heaps :) I know the shop you are talking about. Do they also stock gloves? And do you guys have any ideas on how much they will be? Sorry for all the questions but you have to be safe! :)

bro. home mades are fine, unless you happen to have the spare cash and there is nothing els you want (even then A+ will over charge bigtime. buy online). sounds like an awsome set up ya got, my DH set up is very similar. also cant speak for elbow pads but if you dont have kneepads before this weekend id be happy to lend ya some, dont stress to much about buying all ya gear right away.

They stock loaded race and freeride gloves. But given your age they may not fit. The race gloves are $120 and the free rides are $100. Go try some on but they may only have larger sizes. The smalls fit my hands well so they may not fit a 13 year old so well. Make some decent ones at home out of bike gloves maybe?

Edit: pretty much what ash said. He rides in home made gloves if I remember correctly.
