I used to BMX and i bought a Pro-Tec Ace helmet, and when i started longboarding i thought i would just be able to use it for that too, but as i got into downhill ive started to realise that the amount the front of the helmet sticks out from your head is really annoying in tuck because i cant see past it. So i was wondering if anyone has one and come across this problem or has any ideas about how to get around it without buying a new helmet, like maybe get rid of some of the foam from the front? would it still protect my brains if i did that?

oh right, there ya go. i have seen a shit load of dudes with the wrong helmets though. unless you don't know, its pretty easy to buy the wrong one. when i first went shopping for a skid lid, i thought all skate helmets were the same. so i bought the most expensive one on the rack (the ace), thinking it would be the one with the best protection.
yea same here went for the most expensive, at least it has the ticks sticker :) haha
