yer that's what i was thinking aye haha i will see if he will do 150 shipped us.
they aren't selling the boards to the public. I think Zak is more focused on his bushings and wheels at them moment. not sure when he's releasing them, but he's working on stim style venoms a the moment. thats what I'm waiting for. the barrels are good, but i like BIG softer bushings, rather than small harder bushings.
ohh okk yep i get ya, and yer i have been just looking around for some stable trucks or methods/ways to make normal grizzlys as stable as they can get because I'm getting a new Glyde board from Ash and wanted that setup to be my steady eddy dh board.
and i probs wouldn't spend big bucks to get a precision truck that can't even turn from just leaning over.
the thing with the sphericals in the smokeys was it gets rid of the slop when cornering. Also since the axle is really low and off-set (split in two and in line with the king pin) it gives them a lower profile and makes them get more traction through corners. The two sphericals just keep your cornering smooth through corners and you can really dart in and out of different lines while railing corners. However at first you might find this to be a bit 'twitchy' but then again you might love it. It all comes down to your style of riding really, but if youve never ridden any other precision trucks then you wont know the difference between them, and guaranteed the first set of Precision trucks you ride you will love (apart from Maguns).
Some people like smokeys, some people like JimZs, some people like riding plain old randals. Its up to you really but as for starter DH trucks they are the best bang for your buck
I heard the opposite leadfoot, i heard they were really straight and tight and you can't lean and turn you have to crouch and grab.

Didn't like the Maguns Jacko? Whats the deal with those? They look hot, and they are quite a bit lighter than the Smokeys arent they?
Are they even more sensitive?
although they are set at a pretty turny angle they barely turn... they are ment to be super stable at high speed but cornering and turning the things is ment to be a bit of a bitch... i havent tried them myself but ive asked alot of people what they thought of them and i got the same response... one of those trucks you really have to get used to to be able to ride
okk yerr that sounds about right that's what i have heard about them and aren't they like a ridiculous $600 iff you buy them from overseas and do the conversation rate , that's not including shipping.
you dont have to be pro to ride sphericals... i handle em just fine
hmm soo much bias on silverfish.. "smokeys will be heaps twitchy" blah blah

first run i had on the smokeys i went down clive bissel.. got some crazy twitching (not speed wobbles) going on before a pretty big left hander.. just rode it out. next run was end section of kiera took em to 75 no problems

its just kids reading something and then spreading the word
so Kristian do you mean twitchy as in really sensitive turning or just not steady twitchy?
id say not steady twitching.. i was goin over a bit of a rough patch in a straight line and just unsettled my nerves i guess but jeah they went away before the turn thankfully. im sure if you worked your way up then you wouldnt get the wobbles.. i jumped the gun a bit
right okk yer they wouldn't be a bad investment the smokies but with the stock rate these days i might have to hang on.
