Sydney downhill does not exist. No one skates down mountain roads. Everyone here sticks to the suburbs and local bombs. There are no good downhill runs in sydney. Everything is flat.

Please do not ask where to go skateboarding, because we dont know. We dont actually skate in sydney, we all ride scooters...

Its very important to remember.
If you get asked to leave an area by Police, do so without any fuss and try and avoid that area again for at least a few weeks.
Try and have zero impact on residents, traffic etc. Or better yet go unseen by anyone at all.

The best way to do it is to go in hard, and get out quick. The longer you hang in an area the more likely cops are gonna come check it out. If someone rings up and complains, the first thing the cops are gonna ask is " are they still there?"
If you're gone they're not even going to bother.
If anyone is interested theres a few guys riding Burragerang Dam on sunday from about 10 onwards. Its an old road that has been closed to traffic, real quick smooth & steep.
Phil that rd looks awesome
it is, we don't ride it much cos you gotta walk back up but boy is it worth it.
what speeds do u hit there?
coz i wanna start getting better at dh
and i figure that skating with people better than me is gona help a heap.
im trying to find out good runs.
cheers Ryan.
just found a gnar run in hornsby R******d Rd probably just over 1km top speed maybe 80-90k's you would have to break or slide hard at the end I reckon you would know where this is phil definately not for newbies......
If you want to get better at downhill, start bombing hills.
Phill, that road looks sick, what are the harpins like?

The easiest way to get better at DH is to learn how to stop. Once you have mastered that the DH bit is easy. Its not how fast you go its how well you control your speed that will allow you to do the bigger and more technical runs. Once you master the control you can go as fast as you want. I might head up to phils run next sunday RYRY to have a look maybe you can come along for the ride
I know that road Guff, got a long rt hand corner which just keeps dropping at the end yeah? At some point you're likely just to exit stage left into the bushes or wall. The other side is crazy too, but unfortunately shockingly rough from half way down. There's some fun runs round hornsby though.

I looked at the top of that road a few years ago, didn't bother going further as it was pretty rough. Might be good to wait for an update from Phil, its been a while since he's been there too, not so sure on suitability for stand up.
