Best racing sequence I've seen in ages. I kept watching the slo-mo over and over and my girlfriend asked why I'm listening to whales singing. I lost it and pissed myself laughing!!!

I love that corner at the bottom of the first hill, those kids got the best spot on the hill. Racers screaming down, doing a pre drift right in front of where you are standing, only one hay bale between you and them.

It may have been that if Switzer hadn't pushed Kelly he would have crashed into him anyway and taken him out. Switzer's push might have been the only chance Kelly had of staying upright.

Yea, James was punching Swiss when they got to the bottom. It was without a doubt a push into the bales. They all knew it. No one really minded, it was a bit of fun.

So IGSA is a bit more clean is it Jacko?
Im sure everybody is friends, and its a great attitude to have at the end of the day. I know you said that Danger Bay(?) was a little bit like this.
Its scary,... but spectacular. ;) Great to watch, and its fine if everybody rolls by the same rules.

its not IGSA, rubbin's racing... thats how these boys roll... p-swiss obviously had too much speed and was gonna crash into james so he pushed him into the hay, and peaced the fuck out. got 'er done
theyr all mates, who gives a fuck. They got to skate every run of the day, thats all that matters

Yknow,... Im looking at this video and I can see that the little bit of contact between those two riders setting up the corner had the result - the leader hitting the bales.
Im not trying to cause any arguments, but I can see Patrick(?) making a guesture like "Im sorry", there may have been enough of a push to make this happen.
I agree when you are going straight, in a tuck that if someone touches you, its to let you know they are behind them. But in this case I think this was a bit too much pressure, he has braced himself against the other rider while drifting and pushed him off.
A slight push from behind is enough to finish you in a race. Motor racing is a great example. Cops chasing criminals is another. A slight nudge and you can lose control when you are going flat out. Formula one racing doesnt see a lot of this because the cars are so fragile,...motor cycles also have to race pretty cleanly. V8 supercars on the other hand are push and shove all the way.

All Im trying to say is that as racers, you guys should be aware of this,... whether its used as a tactic to win,... or is an accident, being in front can sometimes cost you, and being able to touch other riders can sometimes lead to accidents.

Im no expert on downhill racing or skateboarding in general, I dont understand the rules for this race. Are there rules? Does anyone stick to them?

I love the vid however.
