ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

This is one from the archives. Late 2006.
Puchin it 85km/h.
Some of you may know the location but it's best left untold. We no longer skate there for safety reasons and out of respect for the local residents. I nearly met my maker there by way of removalist truck pulling out when I was at the point of no stopping coming over a blind crest.

ahhh those were the days... Back in 2006 before GoPro HD and before most of you kids out there were born we were shooting skate vids on VHS cameras the size of a street luge. Some poor bastard would lug this 8kg camera down a hill at 85 clicks while trying to balance the now 10kg helmet on his head. It would take us 2 months to get the video off the camera than we would all meet over at our 1 mates house who owned a computer and a TV and sit down to watch a grainy piece of shit that lasted for 1 whole minute and we were faarrk'n stocked!!!
