hey man, sorry I didn't see your comment about the wood. i use a tonne of different materials for my builds, there's a huge variety. look around the board building forums on silverfishlongboarding as well as the group here. I've used hoop pine, which is plantation grown in Australia, therefore cheap. it is a softwood though, so you'll need lots, and you do need marine grade. You can pick up some cheap Indonesian hardwood from bunnings or something, about $20 for a boards worth. It's good more mucking around with but qualities not that great. If you really want a strong board, head to mr ply & wood in unanderra and get some good quality, 2 or 3 ply hardwood.
Go for the belly racer man, I love mine. I got it direct from brian in the states before hopkin stocked them, sorted out around 160 including shipping. solid 9 ply rock maple, well built, nice concave. If you're looking for a simple wood topmount, you really can't go past it
hey man, you're welcome to that footage but there's a shittonne, over 2GB of video. I don't know if there's any of you either, it's mostly slide jam. where do you live?
