Over the weekend of November 26-28, a unique event will take place at Bathurst's Mount Panorama, Australia's leading sporting venue. Newton's Nation will welcome revelers to the mountain and play host to three days and two nights of world class downhill racing and action sports, featuring competitors from across the globe – all to the tune of some of the best bands and DJ's in the country.

Newton's Nation 2010 is Australia's premier gravity racing event. Skateboarders and lugers will compete on a 1.3 km course starting from Skyline at the top of the iconic Mt Panorama circuit, and finishing on Conrod Straight. Competitors reach speeds of over 100km/h while racing on what is one of the most intense and technical racing tracks in the world.

Alongside the extreme action Newton's will have an impressive lineup of top Australian acts over the three day festival. Featuring live rock, hip hop, dance and Indie artists on the main stage and DJ towers spread throughout the festival, you can dance, krump and mash it up from dawn till dusk. Nowhere in Australia has this combination of action sports and live music come together in such a sensory overload.

Newton's Nation is the mecca for action sport and live music, fusing music, action sports, visitor interaction and camping together to produce a truly unique Australian festival.

For more info about the festival and to buy tickets to the biggest event on the IGSA tour see the Newton's Nation Festival site. For info regarding competitor camping, access and accreditation, please read this important info.

that bus would be sick. i'm probably up for it if i don't get a lift organised

Hey Guys

i was thinking of chartering a bus to Newtons this year to try make it a little more affordable for people on a budget, i would be driving it myself as i am licences to drive coaches hehe ;) (ya trust me behind the wheel?)

i was just going to get a 45 seater and try make the costs between $50 to $80, this price will included your return from Newtons.

the bus would leave sydney the day before we had to be at Newtons and leave on the monday after, if you are flying into sydney you can crash at my place the night before we leave.

just wanted to see who would be interested and try get some numbers up.

PEACE!

Hey Robbo, if we bring friends/family along with us, do they have to buy a ticket to get in?
Comment by Robbo on May 31, 2010 at 8:50
Simon is partly involved but the main promoter is popcorn. Its likely going to be much bigger than the first year.

So Newton's Nation 2010 will be similar to Newton's Playground 2008 with all the bands and offtrack events? Is Simon Rollin involved again?

I loved the offtrack festival in 2008, it gave more things for people to do over the weekend! I enjoyed the Grinspoon concert too.

Nice brand spanking new event website by the way! :)
