Welcome to the richest leg of downhill racing the world has ever seen. During 10 days in April the worlds best will converge on Australian shores for the start of the IGSA World Tour. Riders from North America, Europe, Africa, South America and Asia will face off against the best riders in Australia for $30,000 in cash and the title of worlds best.
It will be 10 days to examine the soul of a rider and determine if they can come out on top and take the title and the big dollars, or crash in a heap.
Welcome to the Australian World Cup leg, the richest, the biggest, and the craziest show on earth.

I think the lack of prizes for classic luge is to blame; a more equal distribution of luge specific prize money would've helped this situation. Not saying luge needs more money, just saying it would've helped to take say 40% of the street luge prize money and put it towards classic luge prize money. I know other lugers who are feeling disenfranchised because of the way the prize money is being allotted. I'm attending regardless.
Hey Haggy
Low numbers on luge and classic.
Is this discipline going to be on regardless or are numbers going to count?
85 registered riders so far! It looks like it will be a full field at Keira folks...!
Newtons Rego (see the Rider Registration page):
Priority registration begins on 24th February
Open registration begins on 4 March
To late man, it filled up last week
When will the registration for newtons be available? I presume it will be opening later?
Robbo has posted some photos of the Scout Camp - check out the pool! Anyone up for a few beers by the pool while Robbo demonstrates his belly flops....
There are two campgrounds on site - the Main Flat and Northcott Flat. Only tents are allowed on the grassy campgrounds. Campervans will need to stay in the parking lot. Keep this in mind when you plan your trip. We'll try to get a map of the campground up at some point.
We have updated the accommodation page.
If you don't feel like camping at Mt Keira you can now buy bed spaces at the Scout Camp. There are only 40 beds available, first-come first-serve. Cost is $80 for four nights. Internationals without camping gear - you may want to jump on this! Please note you still need to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow.
For those who aren't competing, you can also now pre-purchase security passes - $20 per person. This gives you access to the Scout Camp and the campground.
Robbo and I were down at the Scout Camp today and it is gonna be a great place to hang out. It's tucked away in the woods, full of wallabies and lyrebirds and friendly pythons. There are full kitchen facilities - we are looking into some cheap food options for competitors.
