Making First Board

Hi Guys
Im really interested in creating my first longboard, i have a few designs atm but im really have no idea what wood to use, i know to look for some Plywood but i dont know what type, how thick etc.

I want something that will have some flex, but be strong, and i want it to look fucking sick (im thinking of oil staining it)

But yeah, fill me in, what wood is the best???

well all i can say is.. dont expect your first board to be amazing haha, i took me about 4 boards to get the hang of it but i would recommend just going for some hardwood ply around 3-4mm also get yourself some fibre glass cloth and resin i reckon
