Hi all,
Just got some Sabres and thought this is quite relevant to building,

As a comparison,
Randalls axel is app 30mm forward of the rear bolt holes,

Sabre's axel is app 7mm forward of the rear bolt holes.

So if you mount the sabres in the same bolt holes as randalls
your wheelbase will be app 46mm shorter add that to their gangster lean and it bites bad.

Nose/Tail lengths may need to be thought about a bit more if you intend running Sabres.
I had to redrill the DILLIGAF today.

I've measured a few rear slalom trucks before, when i find the measurements I'll post them.

Paris are bout 30mm (ish) in from the holes, and Indys are set back around 55mm (ish)

46mm for randals compared to sabres, thats what... 2 inches, no wonder they're so nimble.

definitely something to consider when making wheel wells, if the axle is set 1 inch in on sabres
Kingpin angle plays into this aswell.
The lower the angle the more layed back the hanger reducing the axle to axle distance.
Maybe this is info that should go in the Truck Guide.

while not strictly what this thread is about i figure it fits in with the topic quite nicely...

for some info relating to wheelbite on smaller decks (~8" wide) with indy style trucks see my post over at sf.
