ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

what I am about to share with the following comunituy, is a deep soulful space tucked far away from every day city living. I am currently residing in wa and it gives me great pleasure in seeing long boarding take off in sa. Back in the 1990's i was riding by myself and found an inner peace doing the thing you love BOMBING HILLS. please travel in small numbers otherwise you will be shut down, don't litter local farmers hate it, be safe, no medical help nearby. I still ride and maybe might return to sa one day but untill then I wish you the best.

these are my secrets. ...

these hills are big and traffic is low, I hope you can get out there, they are waiting. It would be good to see some guys charging them. I fly back to wa in an hour so the only other thing i can ad is,the roll is amongst the same ranges as willunga with less traffic and more room, I think it might take you 1/2 hour to 48 mins from willunga to get deep within the southern flurieau range parawa yank etc. check google earth. or get a good map besides the standard street directory. cheers rob parawa is usually the coldest and highest rainfall area in the winter; so sumer spring and autum should see you score. these hills are long and fast.

Thanks Rob,
Some good advice there, especially the small groups idea. You are also right about the positive feelings that you can get from riding. We are all hooked.
cheers man. yet another area of hills we are yet to explore.
just marked a few on google maps, so hopefully we can check it out in the near future.
when you say parawa hill, do you mean Parawa Rd? cos that looks pretty awesome on google.
Or use my mums 8 seater land cruiser ;P.

She actually offered to spend the day driving us around and picking up at the bottom of each run... The options there if you need it.

i was out driving through kangarilla, clarendon, scott creek etc the other day, found sum sweet as roads, also, has anyone done the top of oakridge road in aberfoyale park? it'd be a sweet as run, i jus dont hav the balls to attempt it :p
have done a lower section where it mellows out tho, was still a good run!
Cape Jervis hill is BIG dude. I live on K.I so it's right next door to me. I would love to bomb it but I dont like skating new hills alone. (if im going down, Leigh and Bow coming with me)
PS. I think your mums groovy to Nick
