Every time I have found a longboard that I would be very happy with the price is way to high. Does anyone know any cheap places to get longboards? Like a factory outlet or something?

I am happy to get a used longboard.

Buy some sheets of thin ply, some good wood glue, borrow some clamps and longer lengths of timber & get your woodwork on.
Endless threads on here and silverfish with tips and tricks.
Not as swish or durable as any on hop, boardshop, creative or voodoo but if youre after cheap and up for a wholesome challenge.. its your best bet.
mmmmmm :-/

OK I must admit I bought my first longboard (in Australia, I've bought others in Europe) from them... At the time I wasn't sure if I'd go anywhere past the commuting stage.

=> If you're after a plank of wood on four wheels to push in a straight line, by all means, go for it.

Since then I've been totally hooked on longboarding, and > $1000 later spent on proper gear (2 complete setups from Loaded and Landyachtz) I can't say I really regret my original purchase. At least it got me into the stoke!

I strongly strongly reccomend "Skateboard Express" which is an online store. They sell extremly cheap longboards which are good quality such as psycho and vault brands. They also deliver very very quickly. just type in 'Skatebord Express' in Google

i can't believe someone here on ASRA is recommending to buy a vault board. not only are they cheaply made/designed pieces of shit, but they undercut all the legit aussie longboard stores that keep the Australian scene going. stores like "Skateboard Express" have only one thing in mind and thats making money. if everyone bought vault boards from "Skateboard Express" then the future of longboarding in OZ would be very bleak.

Tim I recommend you get a "real" longboard before you go telling people what to waste their money on when buying a first board.
In Darling harbour, there is a dervish under the water. It is free. But you have to drive in there in order to get it.
haha still no luck golf

lol funny but true.
what i would recommend dave, is just spending the extra on a good board. even if you go with a sector or something... just dont go getting a cheap knock off :)

check out the concrete lines link on the side he sells quality boards and any other gear (helmets, wheels etc.) for reasonable prices.
Gotta admit mate, I haven't heard great things about them. Apparently their boards snap and stuff like that.
