Got my new board today, Fullbag Elise. Super Stoked.

Set it up with 4prez worn to about 65mm, Randal 180 42* BPs.

Set it up with red Venom elims boardside and SHR seafoam green barrels roadside and had a stand on it down the driveway to see what it was like. The board feels amazing, but a hard carve and I'm getting wheelbite on these 65mm wheels...I'm so pissed off!!!!!!!!! It threw me off the board at jogging pace a couple of times, I've got 1/8 risers already.

Does anyone have suggestions? I like riding my board loose. I replaced the eliminator with a red barrel, which made it slightly better, but I'm still getting thrown off. (The back has no problems as it has cutouts, so I left the elim there) I've tightened it up, so it's not even ridiculously loose, its just normal, but I can't see myself riding this amazing board down any hills like this... It's making me sad.

Thanks Guys. :)

sandpaper and elbow grease
get a higher baseplate angle, the 42*s are low low low

That sounds like it might be what I have to do Alex :(

@Caspian: They're gnar gnar gnar as well, hahaha. I was thinking about maybe using harder bushayshays.

if your going to run 42's you want some hella riser action, also get in there nice and deep like with a sander and make some mega wheel wells
yeah i flove my 42* randals for everything, just cant run em on my topmount :(
Aight, well I'm running 1/8 risers...Maybe I should buy some 1/4. Thanks chaps.

shoudn't happen at speed, you never really lean that far. Having said that....

1) grab some grip tape

2) apply to wheel

3) remove top bushing

4) lean hanger till wheel touches the board

5) spin wheel

6) rotate hanger till all wells are done

dude how loose does it really need to be? you have a race style setup bro, get used to riding it a little stiffer than you are used to.

also try cup washers on your barrels/elims.

Thanks for the idea, jezza.

I ride a loose setup, that's all, even when I DH, I have it loose, not to mention freeride. I have cup washers on both, but top cup washers are flipped.

my race setup is as loose as my freeriding and kicking around town setup. who said you have to have your trucks tight when going fast? its all personal preference.

having such a loose setup does mean however that wheelbite is something you need to really think about when buying a topmount without cutouts. its why i love the Isis. I can run my trucks as loose as i want and i know i will never get wheelbite. but its one of the very few topmounts that will allow that, so annoyingly i'm restricted to what i can ride.

so yeah, unfortunately you may have chosen the wrong board for your preferred style setup jonty. its a rad board i know, but a loose setup just doesn't work with it.

also a truck with a more restrictive bushing seat could allow you to run nice soft bushings whilst becoming much firmer as you start to lean the board further, the holey hangers have this feel when used with standard barrel style bushings.

I agree with you 100% leigh.  apart from the fact that my kicking around town setup has much softer bushings than my race/freeride setup. so just like you say personal preference.

Use a higher degree baseplate
It makes you better. -words of a genius
