What board would suit me better for downhill?

Hey guys, I'm starting to look at getting another board for some more serious DH (I already have a vendetta as my freeride board). I'm about 184cm/6'1" and currently 86kg, but that will probably go up to about 88kg or so over the next few months with rugby, with size 12 uk feet.

I quite like Rayne and from their products was looking at perhaps a killswitch, avenger, demonseed or nemesis. Other then Rayne, I was interested in maybe a Voodoo, LY evo or a Fat Pigeon Topmount. Any others you guys would suggest I take a look at?

Money is not really a problem here, like I wouldn't spend hundreds extra for a dee-lite or anything like that, but other then that I don't really mind. Cheers, Jordan

If you don't know what you want get a drop-through deck cos they're the most versatile. You can top-mount it, you can run it drop-through, you can raise or lower it, you can wedge it, so you can experiment with it to see what suits you, and probably find a way to keep using it for a long long time.

I reckon just buy a second hand one off someone selling on here.

There's a few up for sale, plus if you're just getting into it you'll probably thrash it anyway (like I did). I love my Comet Voodoo D2, friggen indestructible and cheap. But if you're patriotic, buy an Aussie made board that you can find in the Home Grown Gear forum section. They're all good mate.

Sorry mak not buying one right now. I've owned a couple of drop through's now and do quite like them for the stability, but I'm not averse to a top mount for a DH board. Basically I'm looking for whatever DH board would fit me best and still be suitable for a little freeride. I'm tempted to get a double drop, but I'm concerned about the bite aspect.
Have you looked at the Earthwing Belly Racer? I love the shape and design, and it's BLACK :-)
i have a demonseed for $200, i personaly topmounted it and it came good, but even dropthrough i never got wheelbite...
as if we need to know that you are going to gain 2kgs HAHAHA
but seriously i would go with a nemisis mate
Well I figured I'll weigh that in a few weeks so I may as well put that down...

Honestly, the best thing to do is come to bomb squad and try different boards to get the feel of them for your height and foot size. There's a pretty big range of what people are riding.

The Nemesis is a nice solid board with a good drop and plenty of room and keeps my size 11 feet locked in like glue, but there's so many damn good boards out there it's not really possible to recommend any one.

Yeah I'm moving back up to Sydney in 2 days, I'm insanely busy through till mid march but after that I want to come and check out bombsquad. I also want to get a bit more practice down, I was about 4 months without board when I was overseas so I'm pretty rusty, want to get my shit back together before I come skate with you guys.

I'm leaning more towards a nemesis to be honest, I was thinking it was a bit short but I fit on my vendetta fine which is only slightly bigger.
