Materials
1700mm of 8-10mm diameter copper piping, 1x large 'block' of wood (hoop pine or similar) aprox 100mm x 50mm by the length of the backpack being used, 1x sheet of ply the size of teh back pack being used (3 ply minimum), 1x sheet of ply the 2 x the size of the camera used, 2x small gauge bolt with nuts, something like a baseplate mounting bolt as a general guide, 4x small gauge screw
Bend the copper piping using a vice according to the dimensions in the photo. 'crush' the end of the pipe in a vice so that the 200mm section is flat, predrill this with four evenly spaced holes aprox 40mm apart and screw to the block of wood lengthways. Add the ply to the bottom so that the ply will fit snuggly into the backpack with the piping poking out the top. flatten out 50mm of the other end and bolt the smaller piece of ply to the end. cable tie the zips together and the rig should remain stable. A small backpack is recomended, similar to a 'cammel pack', as it is less bulky and hugs the back more snuggly. A wide angle lens is also reccomended as it captures the people behind the wearer more effectively.
