ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Due to popular demand, the marketplace forum has been replaced with a new marketplace that is not a forum but a purpose-built place for buying and selling.

The old marketplace forum is still there, and people can still respond to the old discussions there, but new ads should be placed on the new marketplace

There's a "Marketplace" link in the horizontal menu at the top of the page, and a box in the right-most column showing the last 10 ads.

The new marketplace has a few bugs, but we hope to iron them out over the coming weeks. Let us know what you think.

Not sure what the trick is Shane outside of making sure your java is updated and avoiding Internet Explorer. I can access and use it on my PC and laptop at home, the PC and the laptop at work, and on my iPhone. Maybe it just doesn't like Queenslanders.

I still can't access any of the info, I have clicked on view all and nothing happens, is there a trick to seeing the items listed??
Can't access it on my iPhone?
For iphones, go to the bottom of the page and click the "Use regular version of this page" link. I do this anyway - the mobile version of the site is a bit limited.

@Adam

view ASRA in full size on your iphone rather than in mobile version. The only thing you can see in mobile version of asra is Activity, 'My Page', Forum , and Members.

Nothing else is accessible in mobile version. Other things you can't access on the mobile version - News, Events, Guides , videos, photos, rankings, about asra.

@Scotty

If what you are saying is have marketplace in the forum but with no reply so your only communication is via PM than why don't you just do this in the new markletplace? the username is attached to each listing so you can just send them a PM. what the new marketplace has that the old one doesn't is full categories for everything and advanced search functions.

@ everybody

I get this feeling that Steve Jobs has created a generation of users that think the internet works by clicking the internet button. I can't really help people with these problems unless you have some detail about what your problem is rather than just 'it doesn't work'. From an IT troubleshooting perspective its kinda like a grom posting a discussion on ASRA saying 'My skateboard doesn't work'.

If you can't access something you need to provide a few basic details:

What browser are you using and what version of that browser?

What operating system are you using and what version of that operating system?

Do you have java enabled and is it the latest version?

Do you have flash enabled and is it the latest version?

Do you have any browser Add-ons that block java or flash ads from websites?

Are you trying to access the mobile or full version of ASRA?

What email account do you use?

Have you checked your junk mail folder and have you created a junk white list for those emails?

Once you answer the applicable things than I can get some idea of what you are doing. If you don't do that than all you are making is a general comment that nobody can help you with. I can access everything on every platform all of the time, I get all emails and notifications and everything just works. I would like to know why other people are having issues with this but I can't help unless I know that you are doing all the basics and have a general understanding on how internet content is accessed, otherwise its like trying to explain how a DVD player works to my grandmother.

The new marketplace doesn't work because my java is broken.

Works fine for me, just takes a while for everything to load, and from the eyes of someone with slow internet, bugs me a little, but I can live with it.

The layout is pretty good, but I think that people have been scared off by it, I have had no interest in my board, and I think that when it appears on the frront page, it encourages people to look at it...

Tim, ads in the new marketplace do appear on the front page, albeit in a different place to where they used to.

Hurp Durp, found it now!  Thanks for that.

I urge you all to have your say on the new marketplace by clicking on this link and following the important safety instructions:

New Marketplace Survey

Ive managed to get the new marketplace to work on IE9. Click on tools in the menu bar. Select compatability view settings and add asra in the add this website box, click ok.

Nice work Steve!
I cannot get anything still, I have waited for it to load but get nothing?? What do I have to do to get to see something that is for sale??
