The new marketplace
Due to popular demand, the marketplace forum has been replaced with a new marketplace that is not a forum but a purpose-built place for buying and selling.
The old marketplace forum is still there, and people can still respond to the old discussions there, but new ads should be placed on the new marketplace.
There's a "Marketplace" link in the horizontal menu at the top of the page, and a box in the right-most column showing the last 10 ads.
The new marketplace has a few bugs, but we hope to iron them out over the coming weeks. Let us know what you think.

imo the new market place doesnt work as well as the old one, i agree that their was wayyyyyyy to much irrelevant conjecture on almost all sale threads in the old one, and that WTB adds need to be fucked off far away but was this the only way around those (and the ones youve stated) issues? just the same forum setup, without the ability to comment would be heaps more streamline, and have the sellers leave contact details (email, phone number whatever) so the 'latest activity' thing isnt clogged with posts for one item?

Jake, I agree that the old marketplace would have been fine if there was no commenting on it, but there is no option in the site software that provides that. The new marketplace is the only thing we could find to replace it - it's certainly not perfect, but hopefully it's a work in progress.
Shane, have you tried using a different browser, and ensuring you have javascript turned on, and perhaps deleting your cache?

i tried to send an email to someone through it and it just bought up the sending image for ages and I don't think it actually sent in the end. So I am just wondering if anyone has actually received an offer through the new system?

Alternatively you can just click on their name which should take you to their page where you can send them a PM

I 100% agree with Jake. This has been the death of ASRA gear buying and selling for me as I exclusively use a mobile device and the load times are now unreasonable. The old system with Reply option removed would be best - works with an already very well-functioning system for both pc and mobiles.
If that's not possible then why not get a web programmer to modify the system?

I still can't access any of the info, I have clicked on view all and nothing happens, is there a trick to seeing the items listed??
