Sydney Downhill Madness
Sydney downhill does not exist. No one skates down mountain roads. Everyone here sticks to the suburbs and local bombs. There are no good downhill runs in sydney. Everything is flat.
Please do not ask where to go skateboarding, because we dont know. We dont actually skate in sydney, we all ride scooters...

Just took receipt of possibly the ultimate foot rubber. Treaded sprint car racing tyre 8-10mm at its thickest, super light weight, no wire no cutting just 8-10mm total thickness of the tyre. Its also completely flat, if it was a wet fish I could slap you in the face with it, it is very floppy. Rated to 300km/h without burning up so heat deflection should be good.

these kind of tyres are only good for one sprintcar weekend so I would say head out the parramatta city raceway and look for the pile of used tyres, they might even pay you to take them away. Even if they are only 20% used they cant race again with them. they can only race with brand new tyres

What a find!
From memory they shape their own tread pattern to suit their needs using a special tool that works like a hot V shaped cheese cutter. So patterns may vary slightly but all patterns would be suitable for shoe needs.
I know someone who pits for a sprintcar team. I'll see if I can get a hold of some tyres.

Do they have slicks? More rubber equals more and smoother braking power and better wear. Also less chance of small stones getting stuck in the tread, which can be nasty.
The tread might help with heat dissipation though.

Best day of skating in a long time. Everybody was ripping keira. Matt launched himself into the Sydney crew and got some awesome runs and one hairy moment. Gabe was blitzing and will have a big future in the sport.
An awesome new 4km perfect hotmix run was discovered codename: Waterworld with everybody hitting it hard with one of the best on camber, super fast, right left corners you will ever ride. Got filmed by a stunt driver and production crew who just happened to be in the area with a Red Eye. They were filming a commercial for the new Holden Commodore nearby and thought it might be good to put us in the commercial. They also got a photographer to shoot stills of us all.
12hours of DH skating, epic new run found, a new addition to the Sydney DH crew, red eye footage, images, no crashes = awesome day
