Fitz

Cheers Ross (BMB)

Fitz,

How are
The Radikal is something anyone can buy new, but a second-hand one from Fitz will be as good as new, but cheaper and with better accessories.

The Split though - that's a Fitz special; almost unique and maybe the best rear slalom truck ever.
Details Updated with Photo.

Ross,
I've added you as a friend and included a message with it.
Cheers
Hi Fitz,
Couple of questions on the Split,
Whats the diff's between the diff versions?
Was it built/Were they designed to be used with randall baseplates? Can you use any randall baseplate 28,35,42,50?
Does it ride the same as an airflow? or what does it do differently?
Are you in a rush to sell?

This Split was designed around the Randal baseplate. You could in theory use any Randal baseplate, but the truck Fitz is selling has been modified to use a spherical in the baseplate, so to use another Randal baseplate you'd need to put a spherical in that new baseplate.

It rides differently from an Airflow. The Airflow is on a Tracker baseplate and turns more like a conventional truck, a bit twitchier. The Randal baseplate makes the Split like a reverse kingpin truck, stable and non-twitchy. The 35 deg baseplate doesn't have much turn; it's quite a dead-turning truck compared to the Airflow. You don't need to dewedge it, and you need firm bushings in it.

I love mine and much prefer it to an Airflow. If you compare it to anything, compare it to a GOG rear.
Bugs explained it exactly.

One thing he left out though is that both trucks are now sold and shipped.

Keep your eye out for the postie on Monday Ross. I shipped em express.

Thanks
