FootBRAKING
FootbrEAKing is what would happen to your foot if it got caught in a pothole while footbrAKing at high speed. It would put you in hospital.
Braking: stopping/decelerating
Breaking: fracturing/snapping/severing (e.g. http://www.skateboardracing.org.au/photo/leggnar1-1?xg_source=activity)
Thankyou.
Sincerely,

Also: Depending on exact compound, soft wheels will often slide very rough with a lot of vibration/grinding
My mate and I learned to slide on 77a big zigs and 80a 4 prez. Not too hard if you keep to it :)
We are doing super slow soft wheel slides now :)
Cheers Dave, you saved me the trouble of writing that.
Listen to Dave and try harder with the sliding.
Go to youtube and look up videos on how to slide.
Learn to footbrake, it may just save your life one day.
