How do I smoothen out my slides so they don't sound all chattery?

Really need more information.
Could be wheels - they are not completely broken in, which means the glossy sort of stuff on the contact patch of the wheel is still there. Its essentially the 'grippy stuff' in some ways. Some wheels come pre broken in which means the contact patch comes 'ruffed up', this means there is no grippy stuff and they should be good to slide straight up.
Or the only other reason i am aware of is spacers. The little round things that go in beetween your two bearings on your axle of the truck.

or run spacers and tighten ur axel nuts right up
Get good bearings (not expensive, just clean and not dented or fucked up; reds work fine), get spacers, and get speed rings.
These are the most likely causes. Then, remember to tighten your wheel so it can't move horizontally on the axle.
Next is wheel shape, or amount worn in. Something like centrax will always chatter. Whereas something like a venom caniball will be really chattery for a while untill you wear them in.
Final thing could be technique. This includes speed. Just be confident in it.
Oh, one exception to the rule, every single set of purple otang freerides i have ever tried has felt chattery as hell and shit. So if you have purple durians or somethign that could be it. Or maybe i just happened to try a few sets of faulty wheels.
just go faster and slide with confidence at speed.
if your riding otang free rides like jack said that could be the issue, they chatter alot when sliding at low speed.

yes an in heat is a grippy wheel bro,designed to grip and hold traction at solid speeds,so when it comes to sliding them smoothly,you have to be fairly moving...thats why a lot of people love freerides coz the lack of traction enables you to slide around at way slower speeds,.your abec 11 freerides will get you sliding smooth.....
best way to learn to slide and get used to the motions is to do it on well worn wheels,but dont go to fast on over worn wheels and expect them to grip and dodge a car at the last second,anything involving speed,dodgey wheels are dangerous,and flat spots will send you off on lines that you never planned on taking.
