Yeah they look like pretty sweet boards, construction seems solid. both 9 ply maple, both 38"x10", the Revolver has a 30.15" wheelbase, and the Vulcan is adjustable 29.15", and 30.15".
My cousins son is about the same size and weight as your friends boy and he has been riding a Dregs slide 102. It's not really for bombing hills, but super fun for cruising and carving. It's light and flexy but strong enough to handle my weight.

Yeah mate, I have a set of the 77a left. You shouldn't get bite. I set some up on my Kebbek Kootenay which is a very similar shape. I was running 42* plates too.
