Search for Leathers

I know, I know it's been talked about many times before, but it's about time I start to look for my first set of Leathers as well as a full face helmet. I don't have any issues finding the helmet, I can do that fine.
I do have a few questions about Leathers though. I understand that you don't want to go blowing a shitload of money on your first set when it's gonna get scratched up, so I'm wondering

a) Is anybody wanting to part with a descent, not too expensive pair (will probably buy around $200-250)

b) Are there any stores with a good rep for this sort of thing? I know ebay is always there but I like to try before I buy and I'm not a huge fan of buying over the net.

c) Is there a particular brand that is good to stick with, or any that I should definitly keep away from?

I bought a jacket and pants which cost me $360 all up.$160 for the pants and $170 for the jacket This is pretty cheap for brand new gear. Matt helped me measure myself and spent quite a bit of time making sure that I had the correct fit.

I just got my leathers in the post today and the quality is excellent. The jacket was a perfect fit. The pants fit well and would have been perfect too if I was just riding a motorbike but when I crouched right down they were a little tight and restricted movement.

I gave Matt a call and he was more than happy to send the next size up to me and even offered to send two pairs to see which fit better.All in all a satisfying ebay transaction and if anybody is interested I would highly recommend these guys
