I just got a set of indy 215's and i've found that the kingpin is too short for double barrels, I don't want to buy Core baseplates but i want to replace the kingpin. Would it be ok to pound the kingpin out with a hammer and replace it with a hex head kingpin? im unsure if the hex kingpin would fit in the indy baseplate though, can anyone give some insight into this? All help is appreciated, Thanks.

with the original kingpin i can fit a venom barrel and a small indy cone with a top washer. And i'll be putting these on a redrilled flushcut for sliding and sh!t
you'll have to file the edges of the plates down wont you? unless you take to the top of it with a router to make the plates sit flush?
i think i might buy the core trucks off wayne, replacing the kingpin seems like too much work..
how much doesn't it fit in by?
