Just checked it out. The road surface is to rouch for skating, I can just telll from experiencing with looking at so many roads on google maps and checking them out in person to find out there to rough to skate. There are some alright roads around that area though.
i remember a few years ago when i was over in the sunshine coast with the fam, driving up this long, steep, winding road with lots of hairpins. at the time i wasn't even gonna contemplate it, but next time i'm up there i'm definitely gonna hit it.
can't remember where exactly it was, but i'll try and find out tonight.
any of you brissy crew skated mt cootha, we were busted by cops up there the minute we started rolling wish i got to skate it, looks pretty sweet
we skate it all the time andre, at five on a sunday morning otherwise its a bust
yeah pretty dangerous road i guess, cop pulled us up and told us a cyclist had died there a week ago
has anyone done Mt Mee road leading back into Dayboro? i remember driving it on a weekend and not being too busy. was before i skated so can't remember what the surface was like. My folks live out that way and i'll be up visiting at Easter if anyone is keen (and the surface is do-able)?
two died there in the last year or so, they run wide through the blind lefts while they're lycra buddies ride up the hill in packs forcing the cars into the up hill lanes to get passed them, which results in carnage, this is why we discourage groms withh more confidence than ability riding there with us.
just worked it out, its one of the roads leading up to Montville - pretty busy i know, but would be good on a very early sunday morning.
from looking at google maps, i'm pretty sure its called Palmwoods Montville Rd.

Any of you Sunshine State riders hit that?
Mt Mee has only ever been ridden by luge riders and they crack the 100 mark on it I've heard.........A few skaters have checked it out but the speeds would be to quick for the slight bend in the road.
@ Leigh, Yes if you remember manchild who skates in sydney now, He had the youtube video of it which he got himself into quite abit of trouble uploading it. Looks like a pretty serious hilll. Would recommened a very early mornign session on that hill and if you happen to be seen riding it........ It will be on the front page of the sunshine coast daily the next day haha.

just driving up to montville and around dayborough there always seem to be perfect roads :)
di mt mee on a luge last june, surface is butter smooth. too dangerous for stand up in my opinion, luge gets over 100 km down it so you would come in too hot to make the corners without crossing lanes. cats eyes and blind corners are a killer along with motorbikes and cars racing up and down it all the time. the only person i know who has done it stand up is daddow?

if its possible on a luge its possible on a longboard.
