Nice longboard spots in Australian?!
Me and my girlfriend are going to move to Australia for a half year or so. We are from Sweden and are really interest in longboard. I do both ride downhill and freeride. But we have not chosen where to live yet so i wonder where the best place is too live if you enjoy riding longboard? We are two crazy Swedes who likes to meet cool people and ride some nice hills! We would also like too learn how to surf!?
Please just comment on this if you know any good spots, crazy towns, awesome people!

As much as I would like to say Canberra, you would probably have more fun in Sydney or Adelaide. Both have rad crew and hills. Not to say that Canberra isn't great too!

really nice with your answers! So adelaid seams to be the place to be at?! But its actually long time before we are going to go, but its seams like it is a real cool community in Australia! Umm Im not really sure man Im only 14, But I dont think it would be hard really, if you have experience in anything it should be fairly easy. Go on http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-jobs/adelaide/c9302l3006878 that link is to gumtree and basically its a website were people post ads, so you can just look on there for a job they have contact info on the ads and stuff.

adelaide sure has some great hills, but its a very very small city and you will get bored as fuck very easily there. also not much surf around, and also the majority of skaters are under the age of 16 so you will have to battle with grommets all the time, and spend 80% of your time booted off the hills from police...
you want to move to sydney, thats where its at right now. theres great hills, great surf, great skate shop (www.hopkin.com.au) and some of the radest riders around. take a trip to adelaide once your here, but forget living there!
