ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

before any one tells me to search, yes I already have!

I finally got to ride my new Love yo mutha wheels last night, and was a little surprised at how much grip they dont have, brand new and they were letting go on me just carving, still very choppy being unbroken in. I was wondering if any one had some longer term impressions of these wheels? I think they are gonna be quite drifty.

^edit^

I did have these wheels mounted on invader 180mm trucks with clear randal bushings in front and yellow khiro barrels in rear. and they were releasing on me very early.

now that i have them mounted on holeys with an identical bushing setup in the front and rear, I need to retract that statement, lol.

my green 76mm LUV YO MUTHA wheels grip awesomely!

They aren't gonna get any grippier...
The 70mm are supposed to be a bit looser than the 76mm I think.
Im happy with the way my 76mm LYMs grip.
cheers leigh, I had already read that thread before I bought them, I was just wondering if anyone on here had some longer term impressions of them.

thanks for the input matty, I picked the 76's too I figured they'll last longer than the 70's, lol, and how can you knock back a bit of extra speed.

I did buy them for freeriding so im not exactly dissapointed.

has anyone else been riding these??
dude like you said they arent broken in, if you want a view from a more worn in pair the best way to go about it is to go outside and start bustin out some slides till you break em in :)
my intention was to gather some more opinions of this wheel together into a constructive thread, because when I researched them not many people had expressed any opinion of them online yet. they aren't even available for reviewing on the fish yet!
This thread was not created purely for my interest, more for the greater good, forums can create a great resource when contributed to thoughtfully.
To be hoest Phil,... Im not very hardcore. I very rarely do a slide.
They feel grippy to me,...and I am very happy with how fast they feel (especially as they are not really urethane). Ive run them on my skateluge and they were awesome, Ive had them on a cruiser and a speedboard too and I think they are good wheels at a decent price.
I've been riding my 76mm for 6 months and cant fault them. They are getting a lot more drift now, but still have great grip. One of the fastest wheels i've ridden and a good price!!
