go a predator if your looking at getting something lighter than a MTB helmet. otherwise bell drop (visor is an issue wit that one tho).

they're good for what we do, but they are made for hang gliding as opposed to the predator which was designed for downhill skateboarding.

MTB helmets are bigger and bulkier than both which isn't ideal for "what we do", but they would absorb heavier hits better. they are also bout half the price, so long as you buy them online from another country.

only $50, and made for quad bikes and motorbikes so would probably be pretty good? what do you guys think?

they would be pretty heavy.. and i ride Motorcross and have actually found that most of the time the cheaper mx helmets are heavier than the more expensive ones.
