Kahalani vs Munkae vs Plasma vs AERAs

What you guys think? pros and cons for freeriding and downhill.

You can see I posted that article in feb 2010. I can say more than one year on, I FUCKING LOVE these trucks. I sorted ride out a bit by adding softer bushings than I normally use, and have grown to really like the wide hanger. Never had any negative issue with Munkae trucks, they are strong and reliable, and definately feel like you can go as fast as you want, but at the same time, still offer enough quick turning to session small tight slidey corners. Read my review if you can be arsed, theres pics, and my fine english humour.

Munkaes get my vote. Cos Josh and Zied are fucking RAD, and the trucks kick big round shakin ass.

dunno anything about Plasmas. Aeras feel like any other truck to be honest. Kahas are over rated.

i had to ride Merrick's board when he challenged me to a race. his setup included janky loose trucks that got wheel bite super easy, and wheels that were 5mm smaller and much softer than the way my board was setup, and it was a fast hill... instantly he took off in front down the first fast stretch because the gear on the board he was riding was superior for that hill (technically) but he still got dusted due to skill and better riding techniques.

 

doesnt matter what trucks you get they all work, but you can only unleash the beast in them if you know HOW to make em work

well im getting kahalani trucks but im not sure what hanger width i should get 184mm or 204mm???

i just dont know i would get 194 but they dont have thaat and ive heard that the 204mm are agile so thats why im asking for opinions.
