hey all
me and my mate cooper have got some full face hellmets and we have found a good plastic store that sells some 1mm sheets tinted or not.
just wondering what is the best way to make the visor, heard a lot of people say to heat with a blow drier and people say not to ??
love to hear some good advise, picture of them in the making, a video would be mad !!
Cheers

i think there's a thread on this somewhere loads of pics. Do some searching you'll find it.

Nothing wrong with using a hair dryer to mold the visor to fit you helmet
You can buy polycarbonate from Bunnings - that's the stuff to make visors from. It's cheap enough to buy enough for a few helmets, so you can mess up your first attempt You can cut it with a strong pair of scissors.

Figure out how you want to attach the visor. Here's some alternatives:
1. Use the bolt holes from the peak to attach it at the top and use some velcro at the bottom.
2. Use velcro at the top and bottom.
3. Wedge the visor on the inside of the helmet, between the hard shell and the foam padding.

Whichever way you choose, use some paper or cardboard to first make a template for the size/shape of your visor.

Heating the visor might make it possible to lessen/avoid using velcro to attach the bottom of the visor as it can shape it to fit flush.

Good luck.
