ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

I just glassed the top of a board, this one is for me and i do not care how pretty it is, i'm just hanging to ride it.
I have fished the top with peel ply, its a fine, rough texture, i have Gator grip, I just want to grip and ride.

I know i should, sand it first or do a finish layer of epoxy, and i don't want to waste Gator, but has any one actually gripped straight over that finish?

This could have gone in the board builders group but i wanted opinions from grip tape experts not just board builder experts.

Well I recently won the vicious griptape comp, does that make me an expert? haha

Griptape sticks to old layers of griptape with the texture of sandpaper so a textured surface like the one you describe should be fine
yes but i'd consider you the board builder first, thanks. just want to skate it.
The bit in italics must be said in exited kid voice.
ps what comp. did you design super grip tape?
